It used to be easier to find with a link right by the search box on the Google home page, but now it hides under the <b> gear </b> icon at the top right of the Google screen.<br /><br />With advanced search, you don't have to memorize all of the syntax needed to target or narrow your search results. You fill in blanks or select from menus and Google builds the search querry for you. <br /><br />Two of my favorite advanced search features are searching by <b>reading level</b> which can help you find sites that are easier for younger students or struggling readers to understand and searching by <b>file type</b> which lets you look for only Word docs, Power Points, PDFs, etc. The <b>file type</b> search is particularly useful when I'm looking for software instruction resources.<br /><br />Thanks for this post!
